The damage to Hon-Maru following dozens of Jack-4s exploding weakened the Hon-Maru structure, giving Jinpachi his chance to break free. Filled with inhuman strength, he unleashed all of his power and broke free.

However, I will say that his alternate "lava-monster" redesign in T5: Dark Resurrection was better looking than his original appearance. His core moveset isn't terrible, but all that teleporting and "stomach fireball" crap just doesn't fit into Tekken if you ask me. His return in Tekken Tag 2 as a default character brought some interesting new moves, and at least he adds in some nostalgia value.

I'm actually glad they made him a proper playable character in TTT2. While some of his moves still don't really "fit" in Tekken , he does have some cool animations.
